When the United States had the last chance to change America prior to this one, it almost succeeded, but unfortunately the attempt failed after four years of weak, ineffective Democratic policy action when Donald Trump once again outsmarted the Democratic party and won his reelection in 2024. The Democratic party leadership failed to understand their tumultuous victory then, and for the very same reasons, which I firmly I believe the same Democratic party leadership still doesn’t understand, will simply repeat the same errors leading to yet another Republican President in 2028.
The Epstein files could have been made public for four years. The January 6th rioters and its sponsors could have been prosecuted. The Democrats instead postured and shuffled around and lost the midterm to the Republicans just like the Republicans lost to the Democrats on the latest cycle. Once Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was replaced with Kevin McCarthy and Senate Majority leader Schumer was replaced by John Thune – remember him? – any chance of fulfilling Democratic voters demands were squandered and voters, especially the disenfranchised youth, didn’t bother to show up for Kamala Harris.
Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Hakkeem Jeffries, both with outdated agendas and old, boring messages, should rejoin the ranks and file of their party. The reins and controls should be handed to the outstanding leaders with determination and spine to aggressively defend the United States of America and it’s Constitution instead of compromising just to keep the peace and placate Corporate America. The Ossoffs and Warnocks of the Senate, the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezs and the Melanie Stansburys need to be in the leadership positions.
If we don’t do what is required this time, this may indeed be the last chance.
